Cross channel ferry

This august a friend and myself will be making a pilgrimage to the nurburgring, and we will be going on the dover-calais ferry/seacat, my car is obviously very low and my mate has a 3 door cosworth which is possibly even lower, what I would like to know is will I have any clearance problems with the S on these ferries ? some of them from memory in ordinary cars have some very steep ramps in them and I don't want to cause any problems like ripping my exhaust off etc

I had the S3c on the P&O ferry from Portsmouth and then back on the fast cat a few years ago and the only issue was the sleeping policemen in the inbound customs area where the exhaust scraped all the way along b ut neither of the boats was a problem. Also been on the boat to I O Man with no problems at all so take care and watch how you drive on some of these things - sometimes a bit of an angle over a sharp bit helps to avoid problems.

PS Thinks - you can take the roof down on the S but not the cossie ...but then the cossie may hold more wine on the way back ...

Took the S3 on the Calais Dover ferry with P&O last month. No steep ramps, no problems with ground clearance at all, you will be OK !

Tickets for the Nordschleife Euro 22,- per lap, 4 laps for Euro 75,- (check opening times in advance)

Thanks for your help guys, at least I now know I will be OK, we are actually doing the ring on sat 7th August which is an open day, hotel all booked (Ringhaus) now just need to book the ferry.

ps methinks I can fit 2 cases of wine on the shelf behind the seats

Took the G33 on the ferry to Sandander last month and take it across the channel every year for Le Mans. Its got 3 inches of ground clearance under the sump and wasnt a problem. Speed bumps on approach roads to ferry terminals are a bigger issue
