Any other S's going to Le Mans Classic...?

Really excited about heading to Le Mans for next weekend. There are loads of TVRs making the journey - surely there must be some other S's going...? If you see us in Karting Nord in a black S2 pop over and say hello 
Will also be doing some laps of the track Saturday morning at 10.15 so if there is anyone with a camera out there...

I'm going - but sadly not in the Griff - so will be about so if I get the chance (can't guarantee what time we'll be there though as we are B+B near Alencon) I'll see if I can get a bit of video/piccy/whatever and if I do I'll post back here with details. In the meantime enjoy - I went to the 24 Hours in the S3C I had then a few years ago (the year TVR had both cars finish and I was opposite the pits at the end - great memories!!) and it was great - empty roads ... saw some speed cameras though ...

(We're on the ferry Dover/Calais on Thurs lunchtime 12.15 seems familiar and then back sometime midday on Tues so maybe on the N138 (?) as route)

Yes, I remember our brief chat at S club!
Karting Nord is a good site for the Classic because it's not too noisy from partying into the small hours. However it is on the edge of the track and GT40's etc going at full chat through the night have been known to make a bit of noise...

Yep I'm going - 10 cars in our group, three TVR's (my S, a Chim 450 & a Tuscan), Noble, Boxster / Elise, another Elise, MX-5, Rangie, Audi & a Ford.
Sadly not leaving until Friday though; 07:00 departure from Chelmsford, 10:00 ferry from Dover ETA LMC circa 18:00 with last 1hr 30 mins on the old road in.
Staying at Bleu Nord.
We missed the regular 24 hrs this year so really looking forward to the Classic.

I'll do my best for piccies but checking the time for the TVR laps I see it is 10.15am so could be a bit marginal by the time we get down from the digs get parked and into the circuit so looks as if I may be late for it - I'll do my best though and see if I can catch some of it as I suppose 2 laps will take 20 mins or so behind a pace bike/car.

Hopefully everyone made it back ok & no major problems.
Pleased to say my S2 ran beautifully throughout, even in 40/104 degree heat
in traffic through Rouen on Fri afternoon on the way down.
Saw quite a few other S's & ran with another red S (and a green Wedge) back up the motorway on Mon pm - I was with the grey Chim & blue Tuscan - quality soundtrack for a few miles there.
Annoyingly I did manage to break one of the roof latches (passenger side) - anyone know where I can get another one?
Enjoyed the Classic, it was exactly what I was expecting. Must admit that I prefer the regular 24hrs but the awesome selection of metal on show, on the track & in the car parks was incredible.

If the driver of the red S was wearing a cowboy hat on the Monday PM, that was me.
Me and the old man (Wedge) were heading up to Dunkirk.
Nice to see so many S's at classic. I had two hoses blow in as many days, but I'm not surprised given the heat and the state of some of the rubber in my engine bay. Was a good run and aside from the two little things, she ran like a dream. I even got from Dover to Birmingham on a single tank!

Would've tried for a photo of you but my passenger's hopeless with cameras & had lost his wallet so wasn't in a great frame of mind at that point. I was having a great time though.
Glad you got back after the hoses. Have to say I was very impressed with my S. Aside from the roof latch it ran perfectly.
Went for a blast up the Mulsanne & through Porsche Curves on the Monday morning when it was a bit cooler and it felt great.

I was strolling through the centre of Le Mans on Friday lunchtime (ish) and heard a familiar rumble - just managed to see a red S which I think was followed by another one maybe a couple of cars behind - nice to see/hear!
Anyway I failed with the photos of the TVR runs - we left the B+B south of Alencon in plenty of time to get the piccies but were directed to Blue parking via Arnage which took a lot longer than last time with the result that I'd only just got in the track when the cars came past and a quick grab of the camera only resulted in the rear end of an S and a good shot of a girder so complete failure - but I did try.....
A nice weekend though and good to see so many TVRs about.

The Friday lunchtime was probably me as well. We decided to have a look about the city centre and stop for lunch. That was when my first hose went, the traffic was awful and insanely hot. The other red S was a mate of mine in his 2.8. He had a lot of trouble with his fuel pump and a loose baffle in his exhaust. It was still amazingly hot through Arnage to Bleu camping when we got there after 19:00 following a failed stop for ice on the way in.
Saw plenty of cars at the side of the road leading upto Arnage; luckily we all made it through ok although I had to have my door open to get some air into the cabin.
Not surprised your hose went, longtime since I've seen any weather like it. My mate in his company A6 was however "a little chilly".
