Following the upgrade at Austec..

Paul suggested the leads needed renewing...

Magnecor...??

Which ones are the best Value for money..?
Who has changed them..?? Whatt difference did they make..? apart from nice and shiney..

Where did you get them and how much..?

I've done a general search but there's not really been a thread dedicated to leads..?

Cheers
Dave

I bought the Magnecor ones. They do seem to be of a very high build quality, and are a nice bright blue! Not sure how much of a difference they make though - I think it depends on how bad the old leads are and is more a case of lasting longer.

Magnecore from Tim Lamont of ACT

www.actproducts.co.uk/index.html

As soon as I fix the exhaust manifold I plan to get a set of them. Minimax has a set on his mini, and has never had a problem with them.

8mm Hi Performance £62 +VAT
8.5mm £75 +VAT

Well worth it.

I put a new set of ford leads on the car when I bought it and it ran much better than on the old set but then the old set were sh*gged.

I'd be interested in any comparisons between a new set from ford and a new set from magnecor rather than a comparison between a sh*gged set and a new set from magnecor as the price difference is quite substantial.
