Cam Belt Change

What sort of mileage should the cam belt be change? (S3) getting worried it might be due (64000 miles) and really dont want it to snap as we leave for France in less than 2 weeks! Is it a big job?

I'm probably wrong but am sure the 2.9 has no cam belt but is chain driven and that doesn't need replacing?

Biggest job could be finding it !

It's an OHV engine (not OHC), so no belt.

It has a chain to drive the camshaft instead of the dreaded rubber band a much better system too.
