Springs and shocks again

I know this topic has been done to death, but I'm after some definitive answers!

I need to replace the tired springs and shocks on my V8s, along with the suspension bushes and other bits and pieces that will no doubt be found.

So far I'm undecided on brand of shock, but am favouring AVOs using Spherical bearings at the rear. Happy to listen to opinions on this though..

This leads onto what springs rating and length do I need. The car will be used for normal road work.

Any advice gratefully received. Many thanks

I could do with some advice in this area also if anyone can help. My shocks appear to be ok but I have a cracked front spring, so I'll be looking to replace the fronts immediately and possibly the rears too later on. I spoke to AVO who seemed to supply them last time I looked but they said they couldn't help. They suggested I try exactly TVR but again, no good. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have just replaced the shocks and springs on my car, the ones I took off were AVO. The front shocks are probably knacked (the back ones definitely are, they're leaking!), but I only replaced the two front springs in March, brand new OE springs from TVR Carparts.

If you only want to replace the 2 front springs meantime, you can have those for a reasonable offer.

I believe AVO can rebuild your old shocks so they may still have a bit of value.

Great, thanks for all the comments etc, does anyone know the standard spring size and rating? Also happy to hear of recommendations. Roads round these parts are pretty rough so not looking for anything too harsh.
