I got these connectors from a local electrical supplier. In this set up they are rated at 50amps so hopefully that’s that sorted.

There’s no manufacturer’s name on the packets but the part numbers are as follows.

Grey housing – 2906124 x 2 @ £4.38
Red Housing – 290146 x 2 @ £5.74
75A Contacts – 2906118 x 8 @ £6.72

There’s no reason why you can’t use all grey ones. The contacts are rated at 75amps but the housings are rated to 50amps & 600V so a bit over engineered but (hopefully!) fit and forget. You'll need a big soldering iron though.

Oh YES! Now the electrics will be able to handle all the extra lights, wipers, and heavy duty heaters etc we are going to need for our arctic expedition. My carpets are nearly dry and I've emptied the de-humidifier 4 times since Tuesday evening. Can't wait for the next one.
