s1 rear wheels too far under arches?

any one got any ideas how i can fill the arches a little more ive tryed spacers but its still not enough, wider tyres rub the chassis, am currently thinking of getting some steel wheels made up 9x15 plus spacers. would s2 wishbones fit and make a differance? how much are they ?

Don't think different trailing arms would make significant difference (lot of work and expence ?)

Why not shop around for some alloys with a bit more outset ? Think my "Minilite" look a likes sit out a little wider than Oz 8 spokes.

yes and no and loads 'a dosh!!!

The S2 wishbones are semi-trailing and S1 fully trailing - as i understand it no difference in track just less 'squat' under acceleration.

Not quite sue what the problem is as the standard wheels, OZ Slots, seem to fill the wheel arches.

Could you post some pictures to show your issues???

will try to post some pictures later, my alloys are not the originals sooooo? have never seen another s1 in the flesh but I am going to look at an s1.5 fitted with mags with a friend this week so hopefully i can check out the track on that. thanks for the comments.

These are the original slots that were fitted to the S1 - though they appear on various models (and I've put them on my V8S).



Not a great pic from your point of view - the gap above the wheel is too big as no engine or gearbox was fitted at this point and I'd just jacked it up so the suspension hadn't had chance to settle again.
