Clutch release arm / fulcrum pin bush

Afternoon all,

I have my gearbox out at the moment and yesterday removed the clutch release arm from the bellhousing. There was a small rubber/plastic bush around the fulcrum pin which promptly disintegrated as soon as I touched it. Presumably this takes the play/looseness out of the arm at the pivot point. Trouble now is finding a new one, or something close enough that will do. Has anybody replaced one of these before, and if so where did you obtain it from??

The pin can be knocked out from behind and a piece of washer tube put in place (I use a little loctite when replacing them). it is only a noise suppressor. Adrian@

Cheers Adrian, top tip there. Sure I've got some off-cuts of hose in the shed so I'll have a play tomorrow, weather permitting (no heating in the shed).

Slightly off-topic, but did I once read you could get hold of S series seat foams? Or perhaps I was imagining it.....

yep you did, give Adrian a ring, he fitted one in my drivers sear - big improvement
