At last, shortened bolts, fitted locking nuts and fitted box end caps(after seeing photo of another). Completed at last.

Just waiting for exhaust heat wrap to wrap around under the sump as exhausts run quite close.

Its designed like that, gets oil up to temp. quicker

Got end caps from local engineering company, Fabmec, Ty verlon industrial est, Barry.
40mm x 40mm plastic end caps for box section. you have to cut some internal plastic off to fit around inner nut and i also fitted these to the bottom side and drilled two small holes in them to drain any water out.
