V8S Idiot Light Question – Where’s my oil warning light?

I have a low oil pressure sender but there doesn’t seem to be a warning light.

What I have,

top row - left to right - Red = ECU (MIL on the black plastic bit); Green = indicators; Red = ignition
bottom row - L to R, Green = lights; Red = brakes; Red = brakes; Blue = main beam

Apart from "behind the steering wheel", any ideas please?

Sure thats not the sender for the oil gauge ?

Quite sure, completely different type of sender unit on the V8.

Its the MIL Light, forget any references to ECU for this its too early on the pre serp I think.

Oops ! yeah, my Chim has gauge and warning light (in speedo), changed the gauge sender a while back but haven't yet found the warning light sender ?

V6 S's don't seem to have a light ?

I was wondering whether it was the MIL light but it doesn't come on when the engine is not running and the ignition is on so tried a different lamp but still nothing.

Try pulling the wire off the oil light switch (smaller one) and earthing it - if the light comes on the oil pressure switch is knackered. Mine is on at ignition on and goes out once runnning.
