Hello, Anybody want a bolt on timing strut for a V8s, I guess it would also fit an S4. I made it last year to do a bit of hill climbing but have now changed to a Griff. Seems a shame to toss it in the bin. It is made in two parts. A bracket that bolts on and then the strut that fixes to it. That way you can still open the bonnet with the bracket attached. If you want it, email your address and I will post it to you, first come first served.

That was always the intention Harry and one of the reasons I didn't do any engine mods when I rebuilt it as I wanted to compete in the standard unmodded road-going class. That said, Steve had already sold the strut to someone else and as I told him, not sure I'd be doing this season but certainly next I hope .

That's a damned good call. The V6 variants are just a fraction under the minimum weight limit for std prod so they get pushed up to road prod, but the more powerful V8 is just a fraction heavier and sneaks in over the limit. The V8S is also quite a bit lighter and nimbler than any of the other V8 TVRs. They really do make excellent sprint cars in standard form IMO.

Agree with that, I set some times last year in a standard V8s, and so far can't match them in a Griff 500. If the S has a problem it is getting off the line without tramping, because (I think) of the trailing arm rear end.
