TVR S to (east coast) Canada?

New to the forum; love TVR, and looking to buy an S. Being in Canada (Nova Scotia) may seem a task for many reasons and issues, but I am definately interested in bringing one overseas. Rules for importing here are not too difficult, but the vehicle must be 15 yrs. or more to be legally imported. I love the sound and look of the Griffith and V8S, but a V6 S seems more realistic in price and in reliability....and the fact that a Ford v6 may be more easilly worked on locally......one troublesome issue is buying before seeing ....risky, but some advise from those in the know would help.

what can any of you suggest?...thoughts are certainly appreciated.

where would one look to get a reasonable priced one?. I have looked on this site; classic cars Uk, and Ebay, but there must be some local net selling adds I would not be aware of.

Look here on PH in the Classifieds as well... There are people who
Will source a car for you for a fee and advertise in sprint
And other motoring press. Might be worth it in your circumstance though ?
Put a ad in "wanted" and see what turns up...
Look on the Dutch TVR site too for a LHD model ?

Thank you all so much; big help. If I do end up finally getting one here it sure will be a rare sight in Nova Scotia....we have a great highway trail here for a sports car enthusiast; called the Cabot Trail (180 mi of turns,mountains, and great views)....I will keep you informed, and this is a great site indeed!
