The earth started to shake and I thought my house was being subjected to a sneak anti-terrorist raid by helicopter.

Nope - just a grey S with distinctive racing chevrons down it's flanks.

Sounded lurvly

HEY, that's cheating if you go and delete your dodgy double posting!

If "Back to the Future" has taught us anything, it's that you shouldn't mess with the past otherwise you could find yourself in a mysteriously altered present!

i.e. one where my comment no longer makes any sense

Thundered past my house just after noon heading towards Priddy.

Hmmmmm
Could have been heading for lunch at one of the pubs or Deer Leap to admire the view out to the Quantocks, possibly to Charterhouse and on down Burrington Combe
but I'll put my money on Cheddar Gorge, probably a bit busy at that time of day but still bloomin impressive

Mmmmm - just walked back from the Queen Vic, a few pints and friendly banter with the locals. Top pub!

What's the story with that Jap job?
Yes I saw it, and it was right behind you, but I couldn't really hear whether it was 'pressing on', all I could hear was your exhaust note.

If you head down this way again, I'll join you in the Vic for a pint, no problems! Might even be tempted to get the SEAC out and join you for a run around the block. Drop me a mail and let's swap phone numbers.

Can't beat a convoy of LOUD Tivs heading up past the Cheddar Caves on a busy weekend. Talk about bringing the place to a standstill

By the way....
Anyone know the two Griffs hooning through Priddy today? Looked like Rosso Red and dark brown (sorry, Chianti Starmist)

Definitely standard exhaust systems, way too quiet for my taste.

Despite that - you certainly made an impression on the village as tonight just about everybody in the pub took me to one side and asked me if I knew them
