V8s Gearbox rebuild

Having removed the engine and gearbox at the weekend, It makes sense to get the gearbox refurbished whilst it is out.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to who to use? I've had estimates from 3 gearbox places and they are all very similar.

If you do call them be careful who you speak to. When I called them last year the person I spoke to told me the LT77 wasn't a Land Rover 'box.

If you're anywhere near Bucks then Bernie the Box aka gearboxman in Markyate is highly recommended.

I tried gearboxman and their quote was competitive, thanks for the recommendation Pete. As I have to go to M/keynes next week and they are just off the M1 it'll be convenient to drop it in to them.
