V8S Clutch change question

Hi
Is it easier/quicker to take both engine and box out together because on the V8S the upper bellhousing bolts are inaccessable, and the starter housing part is 6mm from the chassis ?

I took engine and gearbox out together - you need to get the front up a bit to clear the gearbox as it comes out.
Look on useful links at my body off album - there are some pics in there of the engine coming out. I can't access photobucket at work otherwise I'd post a pic here.

I too took the engine and gearbox out together. Agree that bell housing bolts are virtually impossible to get at in situ.

The engine out option isn't as difficult as it sounds, just need to document and label where the wires go and take your time.

Also a good time to change the water hoses that are tricky to get at, oh and whilst the engines out you may as well do..etc.. etc
