MOT Time & general update

Afternoon all,

After some long winter months - about to get the S out of the garage and cross my fingers for our first MOT together!

Can anyone (and Tinks I reckon I'm looking at you here!?) reccommend an MOT place somewhere in the North West? I live in Chorley - between Bolton, Preston and Wigan. Thinking of FM Sports Cars where my dad takes his MG but not sure - a bit nervous of the petrol tank carrier, too much poking may cause holes...so might need to be someone who knows S series and is reasonable for having some work done!



Following winter jobs on the way to being completed:

ECU Refurb - CarElect £210 (Found it swimming in the footwell - hopefully the cause of some running problems I had last summer)
New Headlights - Old ones off..well, they pretty much fell off , new ones to be fitted next weekend/the weekend after
New coil, leads and dizzy cap - also suspect for the running problems

Having sat since November, couldn't resist turning the key before I sent off the ECU last week...purred into life without so much as turning over...didn't even have a flat battery!! Who said TVR's arn't reliable!!

Will let you know if the ECU proves to fix the problems, but for service, car elect were first class - full refurb and back to me within a week - http://www.carelect.demon.co.uk/frame.html

take mine to westhoughton mot station all my cars are taken there
never had any problems with them

I'm not so far from you but I'm soon to be taking mine to the MoT station next door to TrackVRoad at Clitheroe. There are many many closer places but mine hasn't been driven for a while and the trip will warm it up properly and exercise the brakes.
