As part of SCH2011 I have negotiated a 10% discount with Boot Bag for their products. Having heard many good stories about them (I have not got one myself) I thought I'd offer it on here to attendees. Have you got any pictures / details of the boot bag?
ETA It's OK found a website that shows the product. Tis an external bag that sits on the boot rather than one that goes in the boot.

I used one on the Euro trip so if anyone wants to know anything about it just ask.
Oldred_V8S, as you saw it is a large soft bag that sits on the boot. There is a soft non-slip mat that you place underneath and 3 straps that go under the boot lid to strap it on. It seems very secure and did ~2000 miles across europe without any problems.
They say it's waterproof but I would suggest putting clothes in a separate bag then putting that in the boot bag. It makes it easier to carry at the end of the day and protects against the small amount of water that will get through the zip in any torrential conditions you may encounter!
Saying that I think my clothes were drier in the boot bag than if they had been in the cabin with me!!
ETA a couple of photos of said bag. Well I was tying to take a photo of the car not the bag so it's not exactly prominent but you get the idea!

Haha, well I have a feeling that was a mixture of cold, hard rear tyres, sloppy suspension and a lot of weight over the rear end! But yes sliding round hairpins at 5mph was not confidence inspiring! You forgot to add the advantages it had on your handling
