Started cutting out

Been out twice this month, car running good, first time filled with fuel since i bought the car in November, now starting to cough and splutter a bit also cutting out intermittently when coming to junctions. Any ideas guys.

If it just cuts out, rather than splutters to a stop it might be the infamous yellow connector.

This can be located under the steering column, and from visual inspection it will become apparent if it is starting to fail.

Coughing spluttering and stalling at idle sounds like a tuning issue to me, possibly compounded by dirty plugs or a weak spark. Has it been serviced recently? If not, that would be a good first step.
