Hi guys. my boot lid wont close on my s3. the latch works fine manualy. its electrical. does this mean the solonoid has jamed & if so how can i repair it.

As a temporary fix (both when my old one packed up, and when adjusting the new one to operate properly) it's been easy enough to push back the arm that's thrown by the solenoid to open the catch, back into position by hand.

Although, of course, if your solenoid is on its way out - you will end up with a closed boot lid and only the 'hidden' way of opening it up again!

Don't close the boot until you've sorted the problem out!
