Hi there,
Anyone know much about the TVRS3C in the Lichfield/Burton on Trent area. Mine's developed a few "niggly" problems such as the boot button not functioning so I can't open the boot and the heater fan not working. I shall need a new windscreen at some point too and want to go to someone who has experience of fitting screens to fibreglass cars. Any help/recommendations would be much appreciated.

I assume you have a copy of the "bible"...? This will help with the boot issue. Usual causes are no power to the button under the dash, or the solenoid sticking in the boot, or something leaning against the boot strut.
Windscreen? Autoglass changed mine. They had 3 levels of fitter... just get the top one and you'll be fine. Took them 6 hours to replace it in my S3c (many years ago now!).
Heater? Hmm... pass!

Sums up the causes perfectly. Take the button out, then ignition on, and check for supply to one terminal. If not, check fuses. If supply to one terminal, press button, see if other terminal is live. If not, try shorting across the terminals with a screwdriver, see if boot pops. If it does, you need a new button. Maplins sell similar buttons for peanuts.
If it doesn't, you need to get the boot open manually. Some cars have a hidden manual boot release (mine doesn't) but obviously I'm not going to post details here. JayeR over on the S forum can advise on getting the boot open without one. (don't ask him how he knows, he just does).
Once you've got the boot open, you need to check for a supply to the actuator solenoid when you press the button - if there's electricity at the button, but not at the solenoid, you've got a wiring problem.
If there is a supply, then check the other wire has a good earth. If it has, then you need a new solenoid. Maplins sell them for peanuts too!
Heater - again check the fuses, supply to the switch, supply to the heater and also the earth. I would suspect the switch to be honest. It's a Triumph TR7 switch, available from Rimmer Brothers.
ETA Windscreen - I no nuffink.
