clutch seized solid!

Driving home on Saturday night I noticed the clutch pedal was becoming slow or reluctant to come back up. Eventually, without warning it seized solid in the up position.

Called out the AA who reckoned it was probably a stuck master cylinder. Not long had a new slave fitted. The pedal does not budge an inch.
So the inevitable journey back on the recovery truck and got dropped of at my local mechanic who is going to have a look this week.

But wondered if anyone has any bright ideas?

A shame, as it's the first time she has ever let me down after 3 years of very happy motoring!

Hi David, it is a very straight forward job to remove the clutch master cylinder and either re-seal it or replace it

Master and slave are both very easy to get at and should be a relatively quick and cheap repair.
