38mm top hose

Does anyone know where I can obtain the 38mm top hose which goes from the swirl pot to the thermostat housing?
There is a really good post by Han which shows all the hoses and refers to QH part no RH1888 but says this part is no longer available....that was in 2008 so I wonder if anyone has found an alternative supply?
ideally I don't want to buy a complete set of silicone hoses but if this is the only solution, who does the best deal?

Any straight bit of hose will fit, the id is 8mm (I think).

Nigel,

Speak to either Neil at TVRCarParts or to ACT (where TVR car parts get them from) as both can get silicon hoses although they are normally sold as a full set, but would have thought you could ask them to do a single

If you dont want the expense of silicon hoses and as you are not likely to pick up a new RH1888 you could use hose formers as used by Dave Bruce on his Wedge... see the picture about half way down page 2 of this thread...

Could try some of this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/38mm-1-1-2-Straight-Silicone... a bit expensive but would do all the 38mm hoses I think.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. Toyed with the idea of exporting QH hoses but in the end spoke to ACT who (as quite rightly predicted!) will supply one individual hose.
