My S2 seems to have a short circuit in the wiring to the throttle pot can I gethome with the TP disconnected?

yeah the car will go into a alternate mode so you wont have as much power and the mixture will be shot to hell but it will run.

Thanks gr the posts managed to reach my destination.

Turns out the TP was a mis-diagnosis.

Also my post on the other forum about my fuel pump not stopping priming is also wrong.

What's actually happening is there is either a false earth or false feed causing the ignitor to continually spark.

Strangely this not only happens with the ignition on bit also with the ignition off when I try to operate the hazard switch (which also causes the gauge and parking light to come on)
