V8s How many

While looking at a v8s today the guy said he would love to know how many were still in existance?
Does any one know , He said that either 240 or 214 were built, is he right

from what i can remember from the bible. its around 400 cars in total

could be wrong, but anyone with a 'S' bible could look it up

Picked up this info (unsure of source) when looking for V8.

"There were 408 V8S’s made. 208 in ‘91. 173 in ‘92 and 27 in ‘93."

Whether that's made or sold - your guess!

I'm here Pies....back from being de-wormed....yes I was got by the little german b b b b ....can't say the word in public on Teds site of course.

U'm....well I wish I could give u all a the absolute precise answer....but alas not.

I only know about those that have been/are now owned by TVRCC members....and those that care to keep the club up to date on their sales/purchases.

We...meaning me...are looking to redesigning the whole "renewal card" into summit more usefull data collection wise...for instance those of u that have more than 1 car....where can u put the info @ the moment ?...exactly !

The new database structure is more or less fixed now...still back filling with all the old data...so it will be a little while yet. I/we also would like to talk to TVR to get more accurate data of chassis nos for all things ever made...a big ask !!!

Back to the topic....I was told by someone...who should know...albeit a while ago now...there were about 480 made....some 220 or so were LHD and went to Holland/Germany/Belgium. Coz of write-offs we are possibly down to 180ish now in the UK...so they are getting rather special...so enjoy but look after and cherish...a rarity being becoming rarer all the time.

Within a membership cycle...ie 12 months...I should be able to give more accurate info...in the meantime if anyone would like to send me stuff on their car...only to happy to receive.

Also on cars that they may see around...I have designed in a faciltiy to record info about cars that can be reported in without the cahssis no...ie reg plate...and then when a member buys that car and "reports in"...voila...I can cross ref the info.
