Help with door

the top bobbin has been loose in the body for a long time
so i had to try and fix it today, having trouble getting
it in the right place, on 3rd attempt now going to have another
go tomorrow not the best time as going on Scotland tour this
week any tips please

Thanks i have seen that but my problem is i have got
to glass the top bobbin in to the body and get it in
the right place not easy

It's a tricky problem. Trial and error won't really work here.

The only way I can see to do it is offer the door up to the hole with masking tape on the door and the adjacent bodywork, once it's in the right place put some registration marks on both sides to show where it lines up. Then you can remove the door and use these as reference marks to estimate where the hinge pin needs to go. It doesn't need to be mega accurate - you have some scope to adjust the mounting bush relative to the door.

Alternatively I suppose you could strip the door down far enough to get at the hinge while it's fitted, and stick your trusty biro through the bush and mark the position on the body. I think that access for that would be an absolute pig though.

Hi what i did in the end 5th attempt i was trying to get
it to b in line with the bottom thinking it must have been
like that but no the hole in the door is not in line so i had
a plate with a hole to keep the bobbin in the body and put some
glass fiber on it to stick it in put the door on and held it there
till it set then take the door of glass round the bobbin and then put it on again and it worked all set for Scotland now fingers crossed
