Folks,
Going to be in London meeting a mate and staying in South Kensington.
Will be driving down from Yorkshire on the Friday night, arriving 6pm ish and leaving Sunday afternoon.
Just wondering if there is any free parking around that area for the whole weekend?
I've parked on Halkin Street when in town on Saturday afternoon/Sunday before, but not sure if that is free on a Friday evening.
Am I better to park at a mate's house in north London and tube it in instead?

Ive just booked some parking through this. They get cheaper as you get a bit further out and there is a discount for booking.

Look no further than park at my house or similar websites (if the car is average)

I got Sarf London parking for around 7 pounds a day

South Ken is notoriously bad for parking, even by London standards. I think most of the roads are Mon-Fri/Sat until 10pm. Go to the borough's parking website and it should have a CPZ map.

If I were you I'd leave it at your mate's place and take the tube, this will also avoid the central London traffic.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone, particularly the offer in Battersea, but I think I'll just stick with my mate's place in Edgware.
Hopefully it'll save me some time by avoiding central London traffic too. smile
