Recommend me a portuguese restaurant...

...ideally within zone 2 sort of area (to easily facilitate getting to party emporia)

i'm after a place preferably run by portuguese, so not frango's/nandos! and am wondering if there are any renowned for their bacalau(sp?) - a Cervecaria I think is what i'm looking for!

If you're after bacalao and cerveza you should consider Spanish too.

Between Stockwell and Vauxhall is the area. Big Portuguese community in that area and proper Portuguese restaurants (with the TV and Radio going at the same time, just like in Portugal)!

is that so? never noticed it I think that is what i'll spend the 2nd doing...wandering about the bars in vauxhall checking out restaurants - cannot stand the crap in nandos any longer! plus, longing for a Tagus

Try Rodizio Rico on Upper St., Islington. Not Portuguese, but Brazilian. Depends how particular you are.
