Ah I remember that thread it wasn't mine but I did comment on it and I do live in medomsley (sometimes)

I wonder if that guy who had the thread did actually move up to medomsley or not.

If you take stuff to a scrap dealer now, they are obliged to pay you by cheque (traceable) or direct to your bank account (traceable) so you may fall foul of Inland Revenue.

I hear that some scrapyards who deal with the... er... "itinerant metal thieves collectors"... pay by cheque, then promptly cash the cheque for a 4% charge, thus virtually untraceable and completely defeating the point of the rule change
