I was watching something on the TV the other day which featured tapas, the kids thought it looked exciting and are keen to try it.

I have a day off tomorrow, and so thought there might be a decent tapas place in Newcastle we could try tomorrow.

Any recommendations??

El Torrero is the only one I've been to that i'd recommend, nothing spectacular, but pretty decent. It's just down from the empress.

La Tasca on the quayside, colleagues rate it highly, unfortunately not my cup of tea, i'm more a pitcher and piano grub person.

El Coto on Leazes Park Road, near Barker and Stonehouse is our favourite.

thanks chaps - looks like El Coto and El Torrero are related, their menus are pretty much the same and websites similar.

I think we will try El torrero, we can do some other stuff in town too

Can't go wrong with El Coto or El Torrero.
