Hoping to get a reccomendation on a good yet cheap place to get my 18 inch M sport alloys reconditioned. I've had quotes going up to £500 for all 4, which is stupid. Best quote I've got so far is £70 per wheel but that's from a place in Carlisle, would prefer quotes from around Newcastle.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Wheel Specialist in Westerhope

Don't mess about on their website though, call them up for a better price.

I can give you several, but it's nice to hear they've improved since I last used them - it's been a good few years.

Another recommendation for SEM. Managed to straighten, refurb and polish the lip of my Clio Williams wheels.

Alloyfix in westerhope - ask for Tony. Done a great job on my Tamora alloys and they can carry out repairs as well as reconditioning.

I believe that SEM do.

Used them in the past but bizarrely they didn't lacquer the inside of the rim unless you asked!

I used them to plastic coat my suspension parts recently and they did a good job just not used them for wheels but they had plenty in when I dropped off / picked up my parts.

Another vote for SEM. They did my CSL wheels a couple of years ago. still look good as new.

...on a separate subject. Pete, my old man mentioned he was talking to you last week. (well im guessing he meant you)...... Small world smile

Great stuff guy's, cheers.

I'll probably check out SEM. It'll be pretty cool if they lend you some wheels too.

I had my wheels done at sem last week and they do loan you a spare set of wheels. Mine are 18 inch m sport alloys and cost me £288 fully refurbed in a hyperblack colour. It's normally £55 plus vat for a normal colour.

Yeh it is indeed! I walked into a meeting at the freeman hospital and he was chatting about your cars and I remembered your Porsche from his description. I think I live just up the road from him too in Blyth! Drop me an email next time you are round there if you like - I wouldn't mind seeing your car?
