Good Pub food nr Hamsterley Forrest

Looking for recommendations for pub food in the Hamsterley area & prefer dog friendly establishments.

The pub in the centre of Hamsterley village itself, the Cross Keys, was very good when I visited at the start of May. We had a full Sunday lunch meal and it was all cooked freshly. Decent portion sizes and the Chocolate tart was to die for!
