Ideas for a monthly meeting

I remember discussing this last year but nothing came of it. Wendy has asked where and when our regular meetings are.

So how about it then. An evening meeting once a month in a pub somewhere away from town and with good carpark. First Sunday of the month starting April as a suggestion.

Not the Cock Of The North, no food and no anything else as I remember.

The Mill at Rainton, Houghton-le-Spring was recommended to me though I've never been.

Any ideas? It should be in the Durham area as that would be reasonably central to the current group.

Why not go to the TVR car club meetings ?? They meet every month at the pub near the airport (2nd sunday) and also on an evening (ithink its a tuesday) at a pub in Gosforth. You dont need to have a tvr to go and they'll make you welcome.

...because the PH group is only around 50% TVR and that venue is a bit of a stretch of those in the Middlesbrough area. It is actually easier for us to go to Gemini's NYTVRCC meets. I've often considered the Airport meet however when it's an evening meet the journey home is too long.

I like the idea of a monthly meet, but can't really recommend much.

I'd be up for a monthly meet, but as I don't even know the back of my hand, there is no chance I could suggest anywhere. Someone suggest somewhere that isn't amillion miles away from where live and I'll be there.

"Monthly meat"? "Dead Horse"? Why not have a trip to France - you can manage both in one outing. Yum!
