Care homes in Stockton area

Just a quick one - and not particularly nice, but has anyone used any care homes in the Stockton area? I've heard many, many horror stories so I'd like to be recommended somewhere decent for OH's grandpa.

i would recommend Contacting a company who operate nationally called Housing 21. These are not necessarily a full resgistered care home but sheltered accomodation. in addition They have a number of Extra care schemes which will allow your old fella to live independantly but still have care on site or a tailored care package. They have a number of schemes in the Stockton / Teeside area. one in norton from memory.
