If you fancy a new one you are not a huge distance away from the factory.

This is mine, my first, only done about 800 miles in it so far.

To answer your question, first ...

start with a budget, then..

make a preference on wide or narrow body, then..
choose an engine type..
or choose a power requirement, then..
choose a rear axle type, independent or live, with or without LSD, then..
choose if you want a screen, or wear a lid, then..
decide if you want comfy seats with a standard seatbelt, or race seats with 5 point harnesses, then..
would you like a heater, then....
would you like a soft-top, then..
do you like the rims, then..
do you like the colour, do you want swept or cycle wings..

Each to his own really. You might be happy with an older "starter car" for £5-6k, or be up for a more up to date throttle body zetec for £10-12k.

Not one car is wrong, and not one car could be recommended until you tick some of the boxes above, then go take a look at the quality of build and the driving experience of the small selection that fit your wishlist.

Toybox are a re-seller of Westfields, based in the Lichfield/Tamworth area I think. Never used them, but they'll have a decent selection of cars for you to look at.

Failing that, go on the WSCC forums and see where your local meet is.
