Here's an aerial view of somewhere in Rural Nottinghamshire.
Hands up those who think it looks suspiciously like a stash of stolen cars surrounded by bales of hay......

No prizes, but who can guess where it is......

Any chance of a bigger picture as in zoomed out or the coordinates? Possibly one of these storage places for parking your car while your away, my old boss used to own one and he would basically take the car to a farm in the middle of nowhere when people were away for more than 3 days :/ Looks suspicious though!!

Did he used to surround them with hay bales?

Put Cockliffe into google earth......

Its probably not there anymore as these aerial picures are a couple of years out of date.

Interesting storage idea though

I think more than a couple of years ago - I live not very far from there at all and the ariel photo of mine is over 4 years old! And so much for the saying "not %^iting on your own doorstep" - Notts Police HQ must only be a few 100m from there smile

Nothing to worry about, it's just the East Midlands Luxury Motor Show.

If you were a travelling dodgy person on the lookout which would arouse your curiosity most.

A big security type fence on a farm ?

A big stack of hay bales on a farm ?

If you look at Bing maps and zoom in you can move around the site and look at it from North, South, East and West - a large wall of hay/straw bales hiding a number of changing cars - as you zoom in and out it uses different photos and the direction / type of cars changes.

Google Earth also has a timeline facility and the area was there in 2004 and 2007 (that is the latest on Google Earth) but wasn't there in 1999.

Strange.....

Anyone got a helicopter / microlight to take a view? There is someone in the Hucknall area who often flys around in a microlight - anyone know who it is?
