That's Newstead Abbey!! It's a great venue for a wedding but that approach road is like an assault course

we did a wedding at Newstead last December with one of our DeLoreans (the guy didnt want ribbons lol)



We used both our De's for our nephew's recent wedding too

lol it was cold, about minus 8C that day, it was certainly very
dicey driving into Newstead Abbey - at least I was in the Avantime
so had the benefit of traction control and ABS, all Phill had were
prayers in the De! lol

Mind you, its been a fab week for enjoying the cars hasnt it!

Balmoral Green used his Bentley Turbo R as a wedding car recently. That vintage of Bentley or Rolls would get my vote over an Arnage or Phantom.

I though would like a Scania R720 6x2 tractor unit.

Got some friends starting up a wedding car service. I think they have a '56 Thunderbird and 2 Mustangs at the moment.

As devoted petrol heads we argued with family to use cars that meant something to us, and wife's mum wanted a daimler.

I was at a wedding fayre with the OH on Sunday and parked out the front was, I thought at first, your typical Bentley Turbo R or similar. How wrong I was. It was a Brooklands R Mulliner, one of 100 made. If me arriving by helicopter falls through then I'll be rocking up in this I've decided.

Word of warning -before booking -ask to sit in car --my daughter booked off a catalogue from a wedding fayre at Ricoh ,and (can't actually give any details)we were not too impressed .Umteen years ago other daughter got wed ,we booked locally and were highly impressed .

Wise words. I sat in the Bentley and had a good car geek chat with the owner! I'd always want to see a car (or any form of transport) in the flesh before the day. I'll even do it with the helicopter.
