Anyone know of any decent pubs south of Derby that are worth a run out to. Something where there will be a few cars about?

I fancy a run out in the Lotus.

Thanks

Services on Toyota Island jcn A38 / A50. Nice pub, KFC and plenty of parking spaces. Easy access from Uttoxetter, Loughborough, north derby and Lichfield or even Birmingham

Probably too late for you on this occasion but for future reference you could try around Melbourne / Swarkstone area. Some nice roads and you can get tea at Calke Abbey, call in and look in on the Donnington motor museum and the Pub at the end of the Swarkstone bridge has been recommend - Though I'll not have tried it myself till Wednesday.

The John Thompson pub near the south side of the Swarkestone bridge. micro-brewery, huge car park, river views.

The Coopers Arms in Weston-on-Trent sometimes has a collection of Ferraris or Aston Martins in the car park ...

Good call.

Also The Bridge Inn, in Burton on Trent. V.Small micro brewery, half a dozen brews, no grub, but a fab drink. No cars of note I'm afraid.
