Hi all

Can anyone recommend anywhere for cheap tyres in the Midlands / Staffs / Shrops?

Either fitted while I wait or a mobile service that will fit on my drive.

Don't really care what brand or if new or part worn as I am currently looking for a new car, but until I px it I need to keep it legal.

For info tyres are 225 45 17

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hmm could be a winner. 17s from £44. Thanks!

Really don't want to spend money on decent tyres when I'm trading it in!

They're doing me Continentals for £50 a corner with 6mm of tread. That'll do nicely until trade in day!

Just wanted to share my frankly dire experience with Tyres R Us in Witton Birmingham. Had 2 rears Contis fitted after having being given a very cheap quote. Ended up with both rims damaged (lots of small chips on edge of rim) and owner of garage refused to accept responsibility. Staff were under trained and well versed in giving excuses. I would avoid - they are cheap for a reason

I'm looking for tyres at the moment, just followed the links to ASDA and Black Circles, both very expensive. I've had a great quote from Chemix http://www.chemix-autocentres.co.uk/ in Wordsley (near Stourbridge). 2 Hankook V12 Evo K110 for £194 fitted (225/40/R18). Comes to well over £220 from both of those above.

Where is good for tyres in Coventry?

I'm not too fussed about the cheapest price, I'd rather go somewhere that will look after the car/not scratch the alloys etc. Before I moved to Coventry I used TW Tyres in Rugby and would recommend them.

In their defence (and I have absolutely no connection with either) I would think their target markets, particularly Asda, would be more "run of the mill" common family car type sizes ?

Who me ?

Might be worth an ask at Britania tyres . WWW.britaniatyres.co.uk or www.justtryes.co.uk .
Britania have depots araound the Copventry area and Derby . Just tyres have more depots as on their map.

Ye, they have cheap budget tyres, probably where there target market is.
