Shelsley Walsh Breakfast Club. Sunday 14 Sept
Discussion
A wide variety of sports and classic vehicles have already registered to attend the September breakfast club meeting at Shelsley Walsh hill climb. The current attendance record is nearly 350 vehicles and we want to better that number if the weather is with us. Entry is free to this static event that runs from 0900-1200. We would ask you to register your attendance in advance on the website http://www.shelsley-walsh.co.uk/events/content.asp... as this assists greatly with the catering plan. Have a safe trip and take care in the lanes!

Also enjoyed my 1st Breakfast Club meeting and the fry up breakfast considering catering on a large scale was really very nice.
Have been three times to race meeting but as said my 1st BC meeting and thought it had some beautiful cars old and new.
I must be getting old as on the front was a black e-type sitting next to a grey McLaren MP4(I think) and I would rather be driving home in the e-type.
What stood out for me was the 1930's Aston Martin on the left hand side just before the start of the hill climb.I've never seen one of those in my life and my ignorance didn't even new Aston made cars like that I didn't get a picture but on my search of the internet it looks very similar to this one
The alarm clock going off at 7am was well worth it

That car belongs to a mate of mine. It is called a 15/98 long wheel base and he has just had it fully restored. Picture before and after below. The 15/98 was the car before the Aston Martin ATOM was made which when test drove made David Brown (of the DB mark of Astons) Anyone who is interested in seeing how the restoration went can log into the Aston Martin Owners Club site ( you do not have to be a member) and if you go into UK Areas and then Area 5 you can see the restoration under 15/98 reborn thread (link at top of the page). First time Pete had been to the BC at Shelsley- he may bring his DBS next time. Both super cars. We showed the 15/98 at the NEC Classic motor show last year. Will have his DBS this year probably. (Sorry for the history lesson but I think it is super)Have been three times to race meeting but as said my 1st BC meeting and thought it had some beautiful cars old and new.

That's the beauty...
Thank you Aston T for taking time to write, looking forward to reading about it from the links you have given.
For me it was the car that stood out and was a history lesson just viewing it on Sunday. When you speak to your mate you can tell him from me it's absolutely fantastic.
Just a question... So is the picture of the car I posted the exact same model?

Not absolutely sure- sometimes from the picture you cannot tell wether it is a long or short wheel base. But other than that- yes. Thank you Aston T for taking time to write, looking forward to reading about it from the links you have given.

Will also tell Mike that you liked his E-type. Will be on holiday in France in a couple of weeks with him and his E-type and several other cars.
