Alvesley Leisure Centre, Wolverhampton.
Discussion
We have tickets for various comedy gigs at Wolverhampton Civic Hall later this year.
Council has just announced they are closing Civic Hall for refurb and moving the gigs out to Alvesley.
Problem is we will be travelling a decent distance to these gigs, and there is plenty of decent parking near to the Civic.
But from what I can see stuff all at Alvesley, bearing in mind the parking will also be having to cater for all the other stuff out there, the gym, the sports venues, outdoor pitches, etc etc.
Council being very quiet so far on alternative travel arrangements, but seem to be rattling on about public transport.
Anyone local have any ideas what they will be planning and if my suspicions are well founded, as if it's the snafu one suspects it will be want to get my cancellations in early.
As an aside is it possible to park at the racecourse and walk to the venue, is that a reasonable option for a November night?
Although it pisses me off that any cancellations would result in Ticketmaster putting the tickets on their resale site at inflated prices.
