Just an idea I had the other day after being in Hong Kong where there are exotics on every corner! Why don't we have a thread for those day brightening moments, those neck snappers when you see a truly stunning car in the most natural environment... out on the public roads of the Midlands! If people fancy giving it a crack, just post up the supercars and the rare spots you see on those roads or wherever in and around the Midlands region. I am not quite home yet but its only another week till I am back in the cold so I will cheat a bit and start with some cars I saw in Singapore today to give some idea of what might work!!

Red 360 Challenge Stradale... blasted past my mate's appartment as we sat outside at breakfast
Yellow Gallardo... blew past the bus we were on heading to the city... sounded divine!!

Not unless I can blag a ride down there but I think I will still be recovering from a week back at uni after 7 months out of the country! Think this one is a bit early for me

What defines the midlands in this case?

I am tempted to go to VW, would be more tempted if a bit of a run from my area (Cheltenham) was going....

As for exotics, nice yellow Gallardo occasionally about Cheltenham.

I saw a CityRover today.

Don't see many of them around.

There are plenty of "exotic" cars local to me. I've seen a silver Carrera GT in Kenilworth on a number of occasions. There's a Pagani Zonda S that resides near Leamington, and numerous Ferraris, (360's, Testarossa, F430 etc). Also seen a Yellow Murci and black Gallardo.

Of course, more mundane exotica like Aston Vanquish, DB9 and AMV8 are relatively common, given that the factory is 10 minutes from my front door.

However, none of those top the brown Austin Allegro that I caught a glimpse of in Warwick yesterday. Poetry in motion!

I guess I'll add what I see around Nottingham then, a Green Murcielago and a black DB9 Volante came past the QMC a couple days ago. And I remember seeing an Aston Martin DBS parked near nottm Castle not too long ago.

Saw a Zonda on London Road in Leicester a couple of months ago. 2 Days later saw a Carrera GT outside a wheel place near Maccy D's in Wigston.

Spotted a Grey Vanquish on the M1 near Nottingham today! After 6 months I am home and the weather is utterly terrible!

Was the M5 in Sytner by any chance? Saw an Alpina B5 in there back in May - beautiful car

I see an Alpina B5 at sytner quite a lot, but the M5 wasn't there. It was at the tyre place on Castle Boulevard, opposite Castle Marina. That garage often has a nice car in: Gallardo, 360, Aston DBS...

That's good to know as it is literally opposite my new house

If that's the case, I must walk past your house almost every day then.
