BG feel free to call a very good friend of mine Tony Furfaro on the following number 01159 440639. He is based in Ilkeston and does Frank Sytners own personal cars amongst others.
He isnt cheap but if you want exceptional then he's your man.
I'm sure you will be able to negotiate for folding stuff !
Give him a call and mention you got his number from me ( Mark Hardy ) and if possible pop over with the car so he can have a look at it and at the same time you can decide for yourself by meeting him.
Cheers, Mark.

No probs BG, I've known him over 20yrs and he really is exceptionally good.
There should be some exotica in there for you to have a look at
work-in-progress wise but it isnt a big place. Dont expect any creature comforts
Last time I popped in the was a 275 Daytona in for a total repaint back to its original colour ! ( £500,000 worth of car ). Best I've seen him with so far is an F50, 2x F40, a 959 and a Daytona Spider all there at the same time.
Regards, Mark.

Hi Warren,
sometimes he comes across as being at bit 'laid back' (for that read cant be arsed) but I put that down to his Italian temperament !
He is a useful contact to have as (heaven forbid) you ever need repair after a bump it would be done so that you would never tell there had been any damage. He painted a Porsche for me once that a mechanic bent for me and when I went to see it it was immaculate. I couldnt see anything wrong with it at all. However, he then pointed out to me that the metallic was too uniform and not 'patchy' as it originally came from the Porsche production line and he then proceeded to repaint it again so it was patchy to match the way it was when new !!
I know he doesnt particularly like doing wheels as he prefers the £30k total repaints he gets from other enthusiast owners on the top end stuff.
I remember he used to look after the T C Harrison brothers pair of
250 GTO's years ago and also has a client with 17 Fezzas, all of which at some point he has painted and have won Ferrari national concours,so you get the drift.
Still, glad to have been of help, I'm sure you'll be delighted with his work
Cheers, Mark.
ps Emma re: Saturday Night Fever.... you havent seen him dance

If you need another source, a company was reviewed in the May edition of Car Mechanics.
Seems they've done 25,000 wheels, heat the wheels to 200deg before powder coating primer, use lathes & welding to repair damage, choice of silvers, etc, etc.
Average cost £50 per wheel.
Lepsons, Gillingham, Kent 01634 580582.

Anyone who wants a local firm who can do a decent job at a good price can go to a guy whose workshops are directly behind the Esso garage on Nottingham Road, in Mansfield.
For £35 a wheel, they'll get an alloy looking good again.
07970-443220.
Probably not for those who want 100% perfection, but they did the nearside front on my last car okay and that hit a kerb at 50mph after i was forced over by a nutter in a white van. (Middle of the road and doing a text message from what i could see.)

I scratched one of mine the other day going into a car park. You can't notice unless its pointed out but I have to have it fixed.
Found a place in melton mowbary that will do it for £65. All he does is wheels, so I'm expecting it to be pretty good.

I'd be interested, Meltons not too far from me. However mine need stripping and rechroming.
