Is there anyone located near to Peter Smith Sports Cars in Derby.

As I just need confirmation on the colour of the T350c that they have for sale. Been told it is Laser Blue but it doesnt look quiet right in the pictures that I have seen. I am 200 miles away so its not easy just to pop over and have a look.

Any history on the car would also be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance B-L

Pretty sure they were open Sundays last time I went over. (Was probably 2 years ago now, though!)

They are open Sunday from 10-4.

In the pictures that I have been sent, the car seems a bit to light to be Laser Blue

Thanks very much your help. B-L

Hi Steve, i have just returned from Peter Smith Sports Cars and talked to Dave Bonsall. I told him i was there to confirm that that the T350c was indeed lazer blue on behalf of a mate. He asked if the guy was Steve Pa**** and i rememberd ya name was Steve so i said it indeed was
Any ways he was explaining that the colour Lazer blue was a lotus colour as well as TVR and he had a Lotus in in the exact same colour dude So yes i can confirm the car is a Lazer Blue T350c.
I looked at the condition of the car both inside and out and both are in first class condition. The car sits on 18s. The Magnolia interea has inserts of lazer blue leather set in and the drivers bolsters are perfect. The car also has working air-con. A little point that i noticed was that the glove box seam was not perfect but i dont know if this is a TVR trait. I looked at other TVRs there and none were the same so i take it as the famous TVR build quality.
I also looked at the paper work and the log book showed only two owners. And the car has had its first service at 1000 miles, the current mileage is only 5130 on the clock and he said that he would do a 6000 mile service as part of the sale.
Jobs a good un Steve, good luck take care. Chaz

Hi Chaz,

Thanks for popping in and having a look at the car, it sounds like it is as the dealer has told me, so will be worth the 400 mile round trip to have a look at it. I have been dealing with Dave for the last week, so will mention you called in when I speak to him next.

My concern was that the colour looked to light for Lazer Blue. So does the colour look darker in the flesh than in the pictures on the dealers website?

I have found the same about the glove box on a few others that I have seen, I did notice that it wasnt fitting that well in the pictures that the dealer emailed me. Must be TVR build quality.

Thanks again Chaz, I really appreciate what you have done and now means I wont be wasting my time.

Owe you a

Steve

Proper, proper Pistonheads stuff this is. Where else could you get a trustworthy 'online' mate to go and check a car out? for no other reason than the goodness of their heart and the cameraderie of Pistonheads.

Great stuff, hope the drive up and any sale goes well.

I can't thank Ferrarispider enough, this is what Pistonheads is all about, so will be making the trip up next weekend and hopefully be coming back in the car.
