Pistonfest - Who's going from?

Just looking at Pistonfest, sounds fun, i've asked around see if any mates want to come and no one does all my mates are non petrolheads and didn't really enjoy Le Mans last year

Soooooo I just wondered whos going from here and is they're going to be like a Midlands convoy there?

and finally is it good?

Well i'm thinking seriously about it and i reckon a few more from this area will be making the journey. Never been to one before but all sounds good to me.

Yeah its good fun.

I went last year. I didnt really know anybody, but was made to feel really welcome.

We will have to get a Mids/Warks convoy this year.

I have booked the Friday off and will be in for the duration. Obviously if the majority are going on the Saturday, that will be the main convoy day, usually leave en masse from LFE on the M1.

There will be several folks you know already from the Midlands area, plus you will meet loads of new PH'ers too.

Oh go on then as I've booked the day off I suppose I ought to use it sensibly and get the drinking started earlier. There were not that many people about last year on the Friday however I still managed a few beers before bed time. IIRC I assisted in putting Tom and Lois' tent up in the rain and dark with a bottle of port after a few beers and some rum was involved somewhere as well. Saturday was not a good day.

We should be up for a Friday convoy, depends if we can keep up though.

Can't wait to see this new tent of yours Warren. Just make sure no one brings any pins with them, might be a let down then.

Go on, you know you want to, its a lot of fun, i found it the best way to meet a load of new people last year. Most of them still talk to me to as well. Its a good fun relaxed weekend.
