Hi,

Have recently picked up my 1st kit car, and want to get it serviced and checked over to make sure it's set up right.

Have been quoted about £200 by a place called Aldon Automotive in Brierley Hill near the Merry Hill shopping centre to service it and also put it on their rolling road.

Has anyone used these, any good or bad stories about them ?

Cheers, Jase

I've not used them as a service, but I had one of their specialist performance distributors on my Dutton Phaeton and it was a great bit of kit.

From memory, Aldon have been around a very long time. Don't know what their current reputation is though.

Quite oldey worldy but they are very good at Aldon, used them for parts in the past an rolling road runs. But they have a very good reputation for track an hill climb cars. More of a specialist in N/a than turbo cars

Indeed - there was a n/a car at Curborough today with a 2007 Aldon sticker on it - they are sponsoring some sort of championship apparently.

they sponsor the Midland hillclimb championship, and are experts with carbs and distributors (pretty unusual these days!!) but also do the modern ecus etc too. Alan Goodwin from Aldon runs a green Elise which is mega rapid on the hills. Always a good sign when their company demo is so fast eh?
as said more oldies but goodies, than latest flash harrys, but reputations are built over time...
