There seem quiet a few of us from round Shrewsbury and Telford areas, anyone up for a meet one evening? Was thinking of the Riverside Inn (just south of Cross Houses, on the A458 about 3 miles out of Shrewsbury towards Bridgenorth) It's a nice classy pub/restaurant (but not too expensive!) with a great big car-park and would make a very nice backdrop for a few nice car shots.

Lets see how much interest we get then can start talking dates and times.

Cross Houses isn't the end of the earth from Stafford - if you don't clash with the Amber Mids meet I might come too!

How about a joint Shrops and Staffs meet at say

The Lamb at Edgemnond near Newport or The Red House on the way to Telford.

Failing that where is Cross Houses, anyone got a link to a map?

Hi Prof, sorry I'm a bit late joining this thread! In view of the poor turnout on the last Staffs meet, I'm keen on popping down to Newport. Either the Lamb or Red House is OK with me. This weekend is out - down in Kent - but I'll keep a look out for whatever you come up with.

Cheers.

Someone's going to have make a decision? Hows about Wednesday the 25th July as a date - someone else choose venue?

Not sure about others prof, but I cant make Wednesday.

Thurs 26th?

If everyone knows where it is how about the Red House - it has a big car park and is easily accessible to all.

Will it still go ahead if its raining?

I can do either night, preferably Thursday. I'll still come if it's raining - unless it's torrential downpour but I'll be about 3 hours late as I can only do about 30mph in the soaking wet in the Cobra. hehe

Once we have decided....think it would be a good idea to post another thread titled.

Shropshire & Staffordshire Meet - Date/Time

Just a thought

So who can make which Day?

Lets hope it's stopped raining by thursday or the only thing people will be doing is building arc's.
Thursday is good for me too.
So have we decided on the red house?
The Red House is basicly a brewersfair chain pub. The lamb is smarter and big car park but more costly. So I'm happy with either.
Another post is good idea. the more the merrier.

Might be complicating things a bit here but....

Just up the road (half a mile) is The Last Inn. Just been nicely refurbished, car park not as big as either of the others admittedly, good range of ales, bit more upmarket than The Red House but cheaper than The Lamb.

Just a thought.
