Was out and about at lunchtime and the police were closing off the pedestrian areas around the Broadmarsh and Middle Pavement. Another chap from work said he'd heard there was a bomb scare at the bank on Middle Pavement, but so far there's been absolutely nothing on the local news about it.

There were police cars and vans flying in and out of Burton Joyce earlier, which is unusual (prob not connected but you never know.)

I caused a bomb scare years ago by mistake. They started to shut of theatre square. It was the bib overreacting because of some false intelligence in another town. They'll be on heightened alert so best not sneeze loudly or have anything with wires in itsmile

Stupid bloody bomb scares. 'A suspicious package.' Its complete bolllocks. We had the same thing in Arnold a couple of years ago when I worked there.

Its bound to have happened by some oversensitive woman who sees this thing and calls the police saying its a bomb. Glad I wasn't in the city centre.

When I ran my detective agency we had communal mailboxes and an employee who wasn't 100% trustworthy. I planted a transmitter bug in the empty mailbox next to ours as we suspected he may have been pilfering the mail. Anyway a busybody fromm the insurance company spotted it! Yikes, mega big bomb alert, armed police and some explaining to dosmile Oh, how I laughed at that one! Bit worrying at the time but hey, I'd done nothing wrong. You only had to take a look to see it wasn't a bomb.
