Last night spotted an unmarked Grey Mitsubishi EVO Police Car pulling someone over just off M1 J27

On my travels in the last week I have seen an unmarked Impreza STi (black with gold wheels, lights behind lenses I think) on the M40 near Warwick which had stopped a 6 series BMW. Also an unmarked green Volvo S80 on the M6 toll road, it had a camera facing out of the back window. Both seemed unusual to me so wanted to warn others.

Coventry Has a new Focus ST in black. Cheeky bastards were pacing it up and down the a444 couple of days back, spotted it with fully dressed cop inside near ricoh.

The Evo belongs to Derbyshire Police who cover the M1 from 27 Northbound, it's not routinely a motorway car but it does sometimes venture onto the track.

There's a black one too.

Saw this a couple of weeks ago near Banbury giving someone a ticking off on the hard shoulder.

It obviously made quite an impression - I actually saw people driving at less than 100 mph on the M40 for a few miles afterwards...

There's a silver Evo patrolling the Gatwick M23 area and East Sussex have just got themselves an unmarked silver Focus ST also.

Lights are an easy spot, theyr'e laid across the window and when the sun hits them you can see the blue

Yes, I was surprised when I saw it I was waiting at the top of the parade at the traffic lights when it drove passed with the Blues & Twos on. Blue lights in the rear window and rear quarter windows didn't see the front.

I passed one this morning at an indicated 1.3 Leptons in the Furby, he flashed me like mad as I returned to lane 1 and disappeared into the distance.

I fvckin' hate unmarked traffic cars because they are nothing to do with saftey, prevention or enforcement. All they do is punish. It's like the police don't mind you driving dangerously as long as they can punish you afterwards. It's the same with Saftey Camera vans, they don't prevent anything for saftey reasons, they just punish you after.

I only ever see one volvo marked car and a 4x4 the rest are plain cars like the EVO or STI, nice to see them spending our money wisely

Had this one suddenly appear behind me at +30mph this evening on the A46. He wasn't hanging about...
