I thought I would try and start a new regional feature,
(Mods please don't move this to the 'Roads' forum - it's a local thing!)

B4453 Weston Under Wetherley to Princethorpe

Quite a short stretch but open, twisty, grippy and very rewarding.wink

At Princethorpe a quick right and left gives you the choice of continuing on the B4453 toward Rugby or taking the Fosse Way north to Bretford.

B4364 Bridgnorth to Ludlow. Most excellent driving

B4378 Much Wenlock to Shipton. Better by boat if raining spin

B4371 Much Wenlock to Church Stretton along the top of Wenlock Edge.

B4397 Ruyton XI Towns to Myddle.

In nottingham, take Lambley lane twards lambley from plains road, head throght lambley to lowdaham at the roundabout turn left towards southwell, go through southwell all the way to newark. This is a nice run, nice mix of tight esses and nice straights with some good overtaking positions, car.chick and i did this a few months back!

B4453 is a superb road!

B4029 down from Ansty Hall is very good when quiet (wider B-road), but like the 4453 there's not many overtaking spots.

Also the B4112 Pailton to Withybrook has a fantastic stretch after the Fosse-Way crossroads. Tight, twisty, up-and-down, really testing.

I do wish people wouldn't post things like this. I have been enjoying one of these roads for 30 years since and now I suppose it will become crowded with idiots having a go. And then guess what? The FEDS - end of.
No, keep your peace and let's not ruin the fun of others who have seen the demise of the A361, B6047 et al.

I'm sure everyone here is merely recommending a nice safe drive, being respectful of the conditions, other road users and of course the speed limits.wink

seriously, the police are going to launch a clampdown round the quiet roads of Warwickshire soonish, I heard that from a councillor two days ago. Its just mainly a clampdown in the villages itself, so i am not really bothered myself as I always adhere to village 30mph speed limits, just thought i would warn you all

I remember getting stopped at 11.30pm on a week day in a quiet village at 35mph in a 30 but luckily got let off with a caution

The Fosse is great, but then I do go along it most days, maybe it's a girl thing wink

Had a great run Sunday with the boys from W.Mids TVRCC starting from Ettington via everywhere to Meriden, called it the History, Saints & 2 Castles run. Let me know if you'd like to know the route, it was great, very good roads plenty of bends for those that like to DRIVE.

I used the Fosse! Longer, but quicker...at least it was the way I was driving!!! biggrin

Will do that Meriden drive, but it would have taken me completely the wrong way to get home Monday night...

The A422, I live on that road, its great especially with Sun Rising Hill (Edge Hill)if you carry on through Banbury over the M40 and pick it up again towards Brackley it gets even better. Guess I've got some good roads for hooning on right on my doorstep.

Yeah thats a good road as well. Theres some really good roads round this area, its knowing where they are. I must confess I really like to DRIVE, and not just follow straight boring roads, twisty, hilly whatever, and the tiv just loves being driven like that, she pops and bangs like crazy woohoo
