I got up this morning to find some little scrotes had keyed my car putting a big swurl on the bonnet and scratched the word Bitch and something that looks like FCUK!! I think it must have been a retard scrote that hasn't learnt how to spell FUC* yet.

I've called chipsaway to get a quote but I haven't seen any of their work and it's so deep I'm not very hopeful that it will be a success. It's a sunset red (burnt orange) 350Z so I expect it's not the easiest colour to match.

Does anybody know of a resonable priced alternative where I could get this fixed in or around the east midlands?

Thanks all

Chris

If they've written on it, it may need the whole panel painting, might be a bit much for a chipsaway type cosmetic repair. Might be worth getting a proper bodyshop quote and working out the consequences of a claim, re' excess, losing no claims etc.

Bastards.

I really sympathise. The thought of having to spend hundreds of pounds repairing careless or deliberate paintwork damage always crosses my mind every time I park in the street, in a supermarket carpark or some place which looks a bit run down.

A bit far for you, but I cannot recommend highly enough Alex Simmonds in Earlswood for paintwork repairs - fantastic guys.

I presume this is the Earlswood near Solihull and Shirley. If so that is very near me. Local recommendations are always welcome. Any more details please?thumbup

Hi Guys,
I would recommend Trevor at TT Mac in Tamworth.

Great guys, top class work, real car enthusiasts too

Cheers Roy

It is indeedy, they are not far from the Res pub.

Ask for Alex of Glenn and they will be happy to help - if they ask, Ali from the BlueBell sent you.

What a friend of mine did when his Evo 7 was scratched badly by some nasty person was to get it kitted out in graphics & covered up the damage - just an idea but if it's a 350z (and such an ace colour!) I would get it re-painted/repaired too.

Hope the estimate isn't too horrendous for you.

Similarly, my friend in Reigate, Surrey told me last month how he'd parked at a local theatre and returned to his car to find the mirrors ripped off, as had almost every other car in the immediate area lost theirs.
He has a 2006 Cayenne Turbo S and the mirrors were £660 to replace.

It's not even as if they stole them to sell on, most were hanging by the electrical cords.

Same happened to the wife's car a couple of days after Xmas in Stratford-on-Avon (out with friends for the night)...apparently it's the latest 'kick' (literally) for these late-teen f-wits!

...I just can't conceive of how messed up and how dissociated from society you have to be to do this sort of thing!
